Students at Sir Graham Balfour School are once again celebrating excellent A-Level results.  Students achieved a 99% pass rate with just under half of grades awarded at A*-B.  Matthew Mason, Headteacher, said “The students should be really proud of these excellent results.  They showed ambition, commitment and dedication during their studies and I would like to congratulate the students on their wonderful achievements.  All of us here at Balfour wish them well as they take their next steps in life.  I would also like to thank the staff here at Balfour, and the parents of the students, for the incredible support they have provided to the students throughout their time with us”.

Notable performances include:

• Matthew Millward achieved 4 A*s and 1 A and will now study Maths at the University of Durham.
• Isobel Estibeiro achieved 3 A*s and will now study English at the University of Oxford.
• Charlie Parry achieved 3 A*s and will now study Aeronautics at the University of Southampton.
• Lauren Lloyd achieved 2 A*s and 1 A and will now study Speech and Language Therapy at the University of Newcastle.
• Rebekah Butter achieved 1 A* and 2 As and will now study Law at the University of Aberdeen.
