NUT Industrial Action National Ballot – Tuesday 5th July 2016
We have received confirmation from the National Union of Teachers that they have asked their membership to take part in strike action in relation to a national trade dispute with the government (not Staffordshire County Council or the school), with regard to school funding.
As a result we have received notification that some teaching staff in Sir Graham Balfour School will be taking part in strike action on 5th July 2016.
The dispute is discontinuous [i.e. a potential rolling programme] national industrial action and as such there may be more dates in future that we would inform you of in advance.
We are able to inform you that Sir Graham Balfour School will remain open and all students should come to school as normal. Whilst there may be some minor disruption to school timetables, children will be fully supervised and the school meals service will operate as normal.
