Industrial Action – Thursday 10th July 2014 - School will remain fully open You may be aware of the planned national strike action by several public service Trade unions - NUT, UNISON, UNITE and GMB. This is in relation to a national trade dispute with the government over what they feel are adverse changes to pensions and in regard to the proposed national pay offer. Please be aware this is not a dispute with Staffordshire County Council or Sir Graham Balfour School.
We have received notification that some teachers and some non-teaching staff from Sir Graham Balfour School will be taking part in this strike action on 10th July 2014.
After conducting a risk assessment, I am pleased to inform you that Sir Graham Balfour School will remain fully open. All students should attend school as normal.
Please be aware that students may experience some minor disruption to timetables. However, all classes will be fully supervised and the school meals service will operate as normal.
