Community Activities

    School and Community Liaison

Welcome to the School and Community Section of our website. At Sir Graham Balfour, community plays a very large part in school life, to both our internal community; our staff and students to our external members; residents, parents, primary schools to name but a few.

Our commitment to our students is to offer them a wider perspective of the world around us, especially our community, to realise they can make a difference to the lives of others around them and be proud of being a Sir Graham Balfour citizen.

In addition to supporting Sir Graham Balfour School Cambodia, a number of events are held throughout the school year to support other charitable organisations, when students and staff are encouraged to take part in fun activities and ‘dress up’ all in a good cause!  We continue to support the following events on an annual basis:  Comic Relief, Sports Relief, Red Nose Day and Red, White and Blue Day (supporting HM Forces).

Our local charity continues to be Katharine House Hospice, situated quite close to Sir Graham Balfour School, this hospice offers free hospice care for people faced with an illness that cannot be cured.  Our students selflessly support this charity, either taking time out of their weekend to ‘Bag Pack’ and sing in the local supermarket or participate in the SGB 12 hour Rowathon, which we intend to adopt as an annual fundraising event.
